About AdwoazDonuts
You may not know that we have been around for 4 years so we thought you might be interested to learn about our history. Our story starts with one lady in 2020, a level 200 Biological sciences undergraduate student from the University of Ghana, Legon. It was here she started serving fresh baked donuts and coffee to her colleagues and lecturers (customers). The brand name, Adwoazdonuts was inspired by her local Ghanaian Akan name “Adwoa “ which is the name given to females born on Monday. In 2021 Adwoa's friend James help created the company's first website which helped increased it's online presence and reached larger audience. In 2021, Adwoazdonut began to supply hibiscus drink (sobolo), donuts and coffee to selected supermarkets on Legon campus. In that same year, Adwoazdonuts introduced milkshakes and ice cream in 3 flavors: vanilla, chocolate and coconut. Currently, ice cream and milkshakes have been taken off the menu but will be back soon. It was in 2024 that Adwoazdonuts swapped it colours from purple and white to pink and white to embark on it's new chapter. In 2024, Adwoazdonuts have made a conscious effort to shift from plastic packaging to paper and glass packaging. In this same year, Adwoazdonut donuts have introduced cupcakes and varieties of tea on it's menu. Adwoazdonuts will soon open it's first ultra modern shop in Accra and expand to all the other regions of Ghana and the rest of the world. Over the next decade, Adwoazdonuts will grow to welcome millions of customers each week. We remain dedicated to our mission “ensuring that the general public consumes a balanced and nutrient- dense snack concurrently is our aim”.
